30 minutes before we get to work, take the puff pastry out of the freezer or take it out in the evening and leave it in the fridge until the next day.

We can also use other fruits, for example: apricots, peaches, raspberries, currants, blueberries, etc.
We can replace fresh fruits with dehydrated fruits, for example: raisins, cranberries, goji, plums, apricots, etc.
The tray I use has a diameter of 25/35 cm.

Use a glass jar, such as a Mason jar. A 16-ounce jar is best and can be found at Target, Michaels or any dollar store.

Put the remaining butter on top and sprinkle with vanilla sugar. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes. After removing from the oven, cover the pie with aluminum foil or a damp towel. Cut after cooling completely.

We prepare the filling in the following way: we mix the yogurt with the eggs, we add the sugar and the essences, homogenizing everything.
Grease a yena tray with margarine, place the pie sheets (about 5 sheets I used, greased with very little butter), add the filling and raisins, spreading another 3-4 sheets of pie on top of them. I heard about this pie by chance and I immediately liked the idea, I admit that I don't think I would have ever thought of yogurt pie, but once I discovered it I really wanted to try it too, but of course in the version mine, yogurt pie, lime and cranberries.

I took the pie sheets out of the freezer about an hour before I started working on the pie. I greased a tray with butter, I put in it about half of the sheets, greasing with butter every 3rd sheet.
In a bowl I whipped 9 egg whites, I added 8 yolks one by one over them (I kept the 9th yolk to grease the sheets on top).
I added lime peel, brown sugar, mixed well then added yogurt and mixed well.
The cranberries were soaked for about an hour in semi-sweet red wine, then I drained them well and incorporated them into the pie mixture.
Over the first layer of sheets I put the yogurt composition, then the rest of the sheets, also greasing with butter every 3rd sheet until I finished with all the sheets.
On top I greased the sheet with yolk, sprinkled brown sugar and baked the tray until the sheets were nicely browned and the yogurt filling hardened.
I put a damp towel on top of the tray and left it until the pie has cooled completely.
Delicious pie, I would never have thought to make, but now that I've tried I can't wait to make it but in other combinations and with a few more flavors.

This way of cooking, opening the fridge and burying a recipe on the spot, is more suitable for salty food recipes, where you often do not need exact quantities. Regarding dessert recipes and especially pastry, things change and must, whether you want to consult a recipe from a well-known cookbook and respect it or adapt it to your needs.
But let me go back to my yogurt and tell you what I did with it in the end, right? :) Well & # 8230 I say I made it the simplest pie cake with yogurt and raisins. And for the recipe I was inspired by & # 8220The royal cookbook of Princess Margaret of Romania& # 8220, where I found not one but two dessert recipes with yogurt. I chose the one with yogurt and pie sheets because I had a large amount of yogurt, I had a lot of eggs and I had just received the holidays, from Solaris a bag of brown raisins.
