Smoked pea dish

For the bean soup I bought, that is my husband, I think a dinosaur ciolan:) & # 8230 I didn't use it at all and I froze one part for another food.

I solved it today by cooking it with peas and carrots.

A consistent and very tasty food that is made easy and fast.

  • 1/2 kg boneless smoked ciolan (boiled and smoked or you can replace it with kaizer)
  • 1 large carrot
  • 500g peas (I used frozen)
  • 1 small onion
  • 150ml broth
  • salt, oil, dill, a little thyme

Cut the ciolan into cubes and fry it in a little oil, over low heat, covered with a lid until it browns a little.

Add the chopped onion and the cleaned and sliced ​​carrot (on the diagonal it should look good on the plate :)).

Stir for 1 minute and then add the peas.

Fill with water and simmer for 30 minutes.

Add a little thyme and if necessary salt. I didn't add salt because the ciolan was already quite salty.

Separately mix the broth with a tablespoon of flour and pour it into the pot, stirring constantly.

You can give up the flour, I wanted the sauce to be a little thicker.

Add the dill, mix lightly and serve.

We wash the rice well in some water and drain it. Then we put it in a bowl and pour boiling water over it and put it aside.

Meanwhile, put a deeper pan on the fire, add 3 tablespoons of oil and let it heat up a bit.

When the oil has warmed up, add the onion, which we let cook for 2-3 minutes, then the carrot, the spices and 2 cups of boiling water, measuring with the same cup with which we measured the rice. Let it boil for 7-8 min.

After 7-8 minutes, strain the rice that I left in boiling water and add it to the pan, and put the peas on top. We do not mix the ingredients together! Put the lid on and simmer for about 15 minutes, until all the juice has evaporated. Meanwhile, prepare the egg, which we beat as for the omelet, put it in a pan with a little oil and mix it as for the scallops.

When the rice is ready, take it out in a larger bowl, add the egg and mix all the ingredients. Serve hot.

  • 250 ml tomato paste
  • 1 bay leaf
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 1 teaspoon of paprika
  • 1 tablespoon of starch or flour
  • 4-5 tablespoons olive oil
  • a bunch of dill

Cut the pork into suitable cubes and brown it for 5-6 minutes in olive oil. Add the chopped onion and heat a little more.

Add the spices, salt and bay leaf.

Then the tomato paste and leave for another minute.

And finally the peas, cover with water and cook until the pork is done.

Dissolve the starch in a little water and pour it into the peas to thicken the liquid. Bring a few more boils and turn off the heat. Add the chopped dill and serve.
