Public Fare will be open from October to March

Meyer’s Union Square Hospitality Group has signed a four-year deal for the restaurant.

Celebrated restaurateur Danny Meyer and his Union Square Hospitality Group are set to open a seasonal restaurant in Manhattan's Bryant Park, called Public Fare.

It will be located adjacent to the ice skating rink and operate from late October to early March, Eater reported. Public Fare will be part of Bryant Park’s Winter Village, according to Grub Street.

The restaurant will serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and seat 210 people. The menu will consist of sandwiches, salads, soups, pastries, breakfast dishes, wine, coffee, and cocktails.

Chef John Karangis is in charge of the menu at Public Fare, and the project is in partnership with Crate and Barrel. Karangis told The Wall Street Journal that “‘simple, straightforward’ food with a broad appeal” will be served, Grub Street detailed. Projected prices for lunch are under $20 and fewer than $30 for dinner.
